Novel

Long ago lived great people, great minds but so did others which were not so great. Many of those people were traditionally regarded as “Idiots”. I believe that trend has never changed since then. Unfortunately, many of my known’s can be regarded as ‘Idiots’. Like the one standing just beside me.
“Can’t you help me? Or will you stand there like an idol waiting till ETERNITY?”
“Woah- okay, okay I-”. Silence. “will”
Maga’s anger is unbearable. She’ll burst out like a nuclear bomb anytime. And I am definitely not in a mood to fight the devil. After all, today's an important day. It’s…My Birthday.
Birthdays are exciting, even if you have planned nothing. And mine wasn’t a special one, I just turned 17. But what was truly special - I can now finally join the forces. But the decision is tough. Tough in the sense that I don’t know which department. There are various departments one can join and I don't know which one is best for me. After a full week of pounding over choices, jumping back and forth between options, I gave up. So, Today I have booked an appointment with a famous counselor, Mrs Fall. She is a renowned advisor, wearing big round glasses; though a bit fat.
Whatever she looks like doesn’t bother me enough; unless she helps. The thought of finally joining the forces is - I spread my hands out, twirling, feeling the cool breeze pass by my face.
But I don’t understand why Maga is wasting time looking for that stupid watch. She declares it’s an integral part of her ‘look’. Though she hasn’t told me what she has really been looking for. There are a variety of reasons I can provide a person for declaring her an idiot. Probably, I should save them for later.
Maga moved here and there for about straight ten minutes, picking one thing then other, occasionally cursing. Finally she seemed to give up, sitting with a loud thump on the sofa, unsurprisingly still maintaining her stiff posture.
“Aahahhahahh- Eira! My watchh” her voice lowered with a touch of sadness.
“Your watch? Well you could have mentioned that before!” I picked up the pillow on the bed revealing the gold adorned watch behind, “Here stupid- your WAA-TCHH” I grinned.
“You knew?”
“I-”
“You knew my watch was behind that darn pillow and you- I- Why?!” She sprang at me. Her deep blue eyes boiled at a hundred degree celsius staring right into my soul.
My heart nearly stopped beating as I set my pace. I shouldn't have delayed even for a second there. So, I didn’t. With all my might I ran, like I would have if a dog was chasing me. Uhhhh…No! I’m not comparing Maga to a dog!
We reached the Fall House gasping for breath. I cringed at the thought of being judged by people on the street for running nonstop. Maga finally caught up, mouthing something.
Otter? No. Potter. Oh!
“Water?”, I asked her.
“Ye-yea-yes, Wate-water”, She bent and held her knees. Considering her speed, She definitely went too far chasing me this time. In a hurry to save my life, I forgot to bring my water bottle. Wait-
“Maga, Did you lock your house?”
“Lock my what- Oh no! My house-”, Her face filled with creases, sweat dripped from the edges of her head.
Wow, Mrs. Perfectionist didn’t lock her house, what an irony! Ugh…So, once again I caught up to speed, thanks to the academy's training I could. We have to save her house before everything vanishes off!
